About Us

Philosophy & Mission Statement

Seventh-day Adventist education is dedicated "to restore in man the image of his Maker, to bring him back to the perfection in which he was created, to promote the development of body, mind, and soul, that the divine purpose of His creation might be realized" (White, Education, pp. 15, 16).

The Northwest Adventist Christian School strives to develop the spiritual, academic, and physical growth of every student according to God's biblical standard. "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6).

One-Room School

Many people are surprised to learn that one-room schoolhouses are still in operation. Some benefits of one-room schools are that younger students learn from older student, and older students have the opportunity to mentor younger students and become leaders in the school; plus, those who teach often learn the most. While small schools are usually not able to offer lots of lots of extra activities such as sports,  we can offer a more family type atmosphere as compared to large schools.

Northwest Adventist Christian School opened its doors in 2003 and currently has 17 students in grades kindergarten through eighth grade, one teacher, one teacher's assistant, and multiple volunteers. Since we have one-teacher, we are considered a one room school, although in reality we are spread through three connected classrooms.

Our small school is part of the larger network of Seventh-day Adventist schools. Around the world, Adventists operate 7,200+ schools with nearly 1.5 million students.
